I'm not sure if anyone else electable in 2008 would have done a better job than Barack Hussein Obama. Unfortunately, it's still time for the change that people wanted back in 2008. Candidate Obama wanted to work to fix America's problems in a rational, bipartisan manner. I doubt he really appreciated the sheer hatred and scorn that the far right has for him. It's time for a primary challenge on the left to remind our president of what got him elected in the first place: stopping the failed policies of war and corporate welfare.

Nyah!
A conservative Facebook friend recently taunted his liberal friends with a Billy Crystal/Edward G. Robinson inspired "Where's your Messiah now?" mini rant. He's correct that people left of center got swept away by the historical significance of a black man being elected President of the United States of America. A few months later, historical revolution was replaced by business as usual.
